Catherine was born in Ireland, raised in South Africa and has spent time living in London and Hong Kong, and her designs reflect her nomadic lifestyle & passion for the long forgotten craft techniques she has discovered along the way. Traditional techniques paired with a modern twist of simplicity are the foundation of Catherine Deane Bridal.

 

Juxtaposition also plays an important part in the aesthetic of Catherine’s designs; between textile & craft, strength & fragility and old meets new there is a consistent balance drawn in all that she creates - every Yin has a Yang.

 

 

As well as creating exceptionally crafted dresses that bring joy and beauty to their wearers, Catherine Deane are committed to remaining true to their values and having a positive effect on society - which is why we love them so!

Being able to contribute to our community allows our work to take on a deeper meaning and purpose.
For the past 5 years, we have collaborated with the South African children’s charity, the Unlimited Child. For every Catherine Deane dress we sell we make a donation to the charity to supply equipment, build crèches and provide teacher training to help children in South Africa.

We delight in the beauty of our planet, and understand that her resources are precious. With fashion being the second most polluting industry in the world, we pledge to play our part in reducing our footprint. At Catherine Deane, all our packaging is made from 100% recycled materials. We have ongoing initiatives working with fabric suppliers ensuring they have sustainable and ethical practices.
